Words can't express the gratitude I have for the Jade Built team who put their hands up to take on the challenge that is The Block!

We drove a tipper and ute loaded with tools and work clothes and headed to what felt like the coldest place on earth, to build a 5 week project in just under two weeks!

80 hours of early mornings and late nights went into the backyard, when everyone else started 3 weeks earlier than us and a standard week worth of hours went into the front and side yards, which was far more achievable in the end!

Whilst at times it felt like organised chaos, absolutely everything went perfectly to plan, from the multiple deliveries by each of our suppliers, through to the coordination of the different companies that came together to form a fairly formidable building crew.

We didn't miss a beat.

Although we didn't really get much in the way of air time, I'd much prefer that to the alternative which more often than not revolved around ripping up work that didn't comply with standards and having the Foreman question everything we did due to concerns over quality! Maybe next time we'll all wear budgie smugglers at every opportunity we get!

Its been a great fortnight reliving the two weeks that we spent in Daylesford. We worked with some of the best humans in the construction industry and can't speak highly enough of their workmanship and willingness to support each other to get that allusive win! An amazing team effort and a time that we'll always remember and have fond memories of.

Now its down to the Auction!

We'll be watching from Brisbane and cheering on two of the nicest and most genuine people you could ever meet!

There was a reason why house 4 was always full of tradies, sound and camera crews, and that's because it was the most relaxed, fun and enjoyable space to be in during the madness of it all.

That's the true reflection of the couple we worked with and the couple we've got to know and love!

We'll be cheering you on and thanks for such a great experience and journey!
